We are the Polk County Democratic Party (PCDP), the chartered affiliate of the North Carolina Democratic Party. We believe in the ideals of our democracy & seek to represent the political interests of Polk County Democrats, not only through direct political action, but also through community service.

The PCDP has the distinction of being the first county party in NC to own a permanent headquarters. The Democratic Women's Club purchased the building at its current location in 1984.
The party headquarters is located at 64 Ward Street, Columbus between Wall Street and S. Peak Street. It is next to the Post Office and near the Court House and Womack Building.
