Polk County Commissioners
Currently, all 5 County Commissioners are Republicans. Three of the 5 County Commissioner positions are up for election. Three Republican incumbents are running for re-election (Melton, Beiler, Moore). There are two Democrats in the running (Gasperson, Millard). The top 3 vote getters win with the top 2 elected for 4-year terms and the 3rd vote getter elected for a 2-year term. It is critically important that we vote ONLY for Ray and Andy in the General Election to represent the values and beliefs of Democrats. You will see they are the best candidates when you check out their websites! While you can vote for 3 candidates doing so will diminish the chances that they will be in the top 3. We need to have representative local government for all Polk County residents.
Listen to Ray and Andy being interviewed.
James Hrynyshyn invited all the County Commissioner candidates to do an interview with him on his podcast Polk Lore. To date (October 6) only Ray and Andy responded and have been interviewed.
