The NCDP Rural Tour Comes to Polk County with Special Friends
On July 27th the North Carolina Democratic Party Chair, Dr. Bobbie Richardson came to our headquarters to tell us about what NCDP is doing this election cycle especially for rural counties and gave us an opportunity to comment and ask questions. Lorenzo Pedro, the NCDP Political Director, came with Dr. Richardson and addressed our group. We had an opportunity to meet Matt Ballance, the District 11 Chair, who spoke briefly to us and answered questions. Jasmine Beach-Ferrara, our District 11 candidate for the U.S. House of Representatives spoke with those in attendance one-on-one and to the entire group. It was great to hear what she had to say. Inspirational! The campaign knows what they are doing and are off to a wonderful start.

HQ Deck Removal- Helping Hands on Deck
Thanks to Ray Fulk, Ray Gasperson, Sean and Miller Hogan, Steve King, Clayton Larrison, Dick Perlmutter, and Chris Reynolds for their hard work in deck removal and multiple trips to the dump on April 23. The deck had been in place for many years and served us well. Unfortunately, the deck was no longer safe. In the end, more green space and outdoor gathering will be possible.
