Supporting the Community (Fall 2023)
Polk Dems were at the Columbus Halloween celebration in support of the kids. While the Veteran's Day parade was cancelled due to weather, we still found a way to honor 99 year old Veteran Jack Jolley.
Fall Social (October 20)
What a tremendous event with stellar speakers, fine food, and great conversation. Thanks to our creative and resourceful event team led by Stacey Wodicka and including Jane Binder, Debbie Hofland, Michelle Keyes, Linda Knippa with an additional supporting cast of volunteers.
Active Listening Training given by Syd Mutschler
Our Second Vice Chair gave an excellent led an excellent interactive presentation on Active Listening. It is the first of a series of 3 presentations to support having meaningful conversations with folks as we knock on doors.

Volunteers Paint HQ Walls Blue (August)
Our dear 'ol HQ got re-organized and a fresh coat of paint above the chair rail thanks to Jane Binder, Debbie Hofland, Michelle Keyes, Linda Knippa, Syd Mutschler, and Stacey Wodicka. These women worked tirelessly to brighten up the place. (pictures below- click on thumbnail to see larger versions)

The Summer Social was a big success with well over 100 people attending, . There was great food, music, and a feeling of togetherness. Examples of Polk County service organizations in attendance included Foothills Humane Society, Weiler Woods, Outreach, Kudzu Warriors, Adawehi, and FENCE. Our 7 precincts had official organizing meetings where new officers were elected and delegates to vote at our county convention were chosen. Precinct involvement will be critical in achievement of our goals for this year and next. These meetings are only just the beginning. To see the precinct officers are check out our list of officers.
